My blog would be "passed worded" for a while. Just for the fun of it for now. Everything has a reason. For those who made it in, good on you. Things in here are for your eyes only, not that it concerns anyone else. Its my life.
First Day of FOP
What can I say, It was a great day.
The night before FOP I received a call from sis Kristl, thinking it was nothing much I answered the call. ok la like duh I would answer the call anyway.
Me: hello sis Kristl
Kristl: hello Sean, for your allocation for tmr
Me: yeah
Kristl: you will be chief usher runner
Me: HUH? Cchieff uShEr ruNneeRR ?!?!
Kristl: yes chief usher runner. You will be running with bro Baotian.
Me: Huh? Ok ok. Can can.
Kristl: you know who bro Baotian is right.
Me: yah
Kristl: okok then, sis meizhen will call you tmr morning and brief you.
Me: ok ok
Well the phone call went something like that, not exactly but yeah around there. I was shocked and at the same time happy when I received the call. Never thought I would be a runner for a chief usher at this point of time. Was it a dream or reality ? Not that it was my dream, just that it never came to mind that I was able to be in that position. Not just anyone or any usher can be a runner for a CU. oh well, take up the responsibility and God will empower me. I kinda freaked out after the phone call and it started to set in. CU's runner, to me it was WOW.
Good opportunity to learn more. Indeed I did learn from the whole experience to day. Running with Bro Baotian taught me how the service is runned from their perspective. It was not how we normal ushers look at it, Fill the zone, i got one empty seat and things like that. But it was more of the BIG picture. Knowing whats going on, the flow of people, is there anything to be taken note of. Basically flying up and down around the whole stadium making sure things are going smoothly. The Big picture.
While serving, there were many problems, but they were all over came by taking control of the situation and solve it. I guess it applies in our lives, we are the chief usher in our lives, we got to be in control, know whats going on around you and change accordingly, or control what you can. In the same way in life, You got to know whats going on around you and be in control at all times. First Control the things you can control, Your emotions, actions. It first starts with you learning to control youself, then everything else will work out. When problems comes, be in control of the problem and not let the problem control you. Why do I say that ? many a times, when we ask people, what is the problem, they can easily blurt out more than 10 lines about the problem and they can't find the solution. To them the problem is too big to solve. But most of the time, the solution lies within their control. THEM. They are the solution to the problem, most of the time they have the power to solve the problem they are currently facing.
I'm not sure how I can explain more so I shall stop here for now. If you wanna know more, ask me and I'll try to explain the best I know how. Problems do arise and it is the problems that help us grow.
Heart of God church sent ushers to help out in the whole service, they were just awesome. Full of excitment, enthusiasm, just AWESOME. 2 brothers even held the curtains in such a way that people can walk in and out, yet light from outside will not affect the service durin surmon, I mean like who else will do that ? Would you? without any complains? I don't know but to me They were a great help, Awesome people. What can I say, I'm at a lost for words. Two thumbs up and 2 Big toes up !!!
After FOP service a few of the usual and some unusual people met up to have supper, we had a ball of a time, headed down to marina square some hongkong restraunt, the food was SOSO but the company was great!! (now you know the difference) we had a great laugh and things like that. oh well.. Can't explain it. Okay as u can see from this entry I can't explain alot of things. You just got to be there I guess.
Don't ask my why but I just felt like blogging, note time is 4am and I needa report at 10am tmr. Siao liao..
